Winter-be-Gone

I accidentally got my third illness this winter, one with a bit of flu flair to it. Ugh! Winter-be-gone! This tree branch is my winter-be-gone tree branch. Secretly I hope we get snow and rain, as it is achingly dry... but no more winter viruses.

Textures

Another busy week. Amazing how much to do and what little time.  I brought a pine cone back, which smells of the forest (in a good way).  Helps me chill after moments of stress in busy days.

Shinrin-yoku

I learned about a concept this weekend, called forest bathing. The idea that just being in the forest, walking and enjoying it, is healing. It hails from Japan and has been proven to improve health.

I certainly feel it. I got the chance to take a walk in the woods this weekend. I completely yearn to be near forest again.

A Zen out Mountain Week

To make up for all of the wild days so far this year. Time to find zen again.

Pre-dawn

The Ruby Mountains at pre-dawn.  Absolutely stunning. Amazing that all it takes is a nice 4am drive.

More Textures of Winters

A few days late

I just realized I completed my second year of blogging 5 days ago! I don't have a ton of viewers like the big bloggers, but I did double my viewership this year. Thank you!

The Forest to Calm Me

It's been a strange couple weeks. So, time to get back in zen form. Start the week in the quiet forest, with snow softly falling like feathers and sounds of water rushing in the background.
